Curating our environments with an eye for detail

I think we tend to underestimate the power of details. How they add up and how they are components of a bigger narrative.

Whether it is in our homes where we restore our minds and bodies, or in our offices where we work, or in the classrooms where we learn and teach, or even in public places… Details are pivotal in creating a certain environment that will either stimulate our ability to grow and flourish, or downright deplete us and leave us uninspired.

The colors, the scents, the natural light & fresh air, the tidiness and serenity,… or the lack thereof will have tremendous effects on our moods and our ability to think and retain new information. Our brain picks up on everything, even if we’re not consciously aware of it.

So how about becoming more intentional in curating our living & working environments? Maybe opening some windows, letting the light in? Or turning on some music? Flowers? Books? More puppies? 😉

The possibilities are endless. Are you with me on this little experiment?
